millions of dollars of entertainment every year," Randall tells AC Weekly

Benny Mardones:
"Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated."
In the “Ask the Geator” column in AC Weekly’s
5/18/06 issue, Jerry Blavat answered a reader’s question by
mistakenly reporting the death of Benny Mardones. Blavat wrote,
"'Into the Night' was one of the only songs to ever chart twice
in the top 20 (in 1980 and again in 1989). It was written and recorded
by Benny Mardones, who sadly passed away recently after a long battle
with Parkinson's disease.” This exchange prompted Mardones,
who is very much alive, to leave this phone message. Listen
